My first interview and then some

I started a brand new day job last Monday as well. The job is pretty cool and so is the company. I'm looking forward to working there because it's a remote position that makes me a 1099 contractor. That means I can live ANYWHERE. Philadelphia. Palm Springs. Thailand. Mexico. New Zealand. New Orleans. France. Ireland. Ghana. My apartment lease is up in October, so I'll be doing a lot of fun decision making and planning for that.

Admittedly, my first choice is always having the cake and eating it, too. So best choice would be owning a few places I could hop around for when I get that inevitable wanderlust.  The only problem is that I'm also a pet person (I like dogs and cats) which makes any type of extended travel hard if not impossible. I know a lot of people travel with their pets and I've relocated with mine, but it really is stressful for them. So that's another big thing I'd have to take into account since for the past 4 years I've lived pet free and took advantage of it by traveling to almost all the places on my bucket list.

In other news, this week I  did my very first author interview on the podcast ADQ's Renaissance . The podcast owner, Adrian, is super cool and is heavily involved in the acting scene in North Carolina. I haven't listed to it yet because I hate hearing my voice recorded   LOL.  His questions were relevant and he was easy to talk to even though I was nervous, so thank you Adrian for that. While being interviewed, I realized that I really need to start increasing my social media presence. Time to get an insta. Time to start using my official twitter account. Time to start foundations of my website.

There's one BIG

I haven't been addressing in many of my posts, and that is the Rona. So far me and my friends have been safe because of all the sheltering in place and working from home, but eventually I'm going to have some dealings with this. Especially if the US continues to not be able to accurately test for antibodies and we continue to not have any good idea of who's potentially a typhoid Mary and who's safe. I imagine that as it gets closer time for me to relocate, I'll be dealing with this more and more. I'd have to hire a moving company to drive my things anywhere and I would have to fly anywhere. I have a feeling that travel by September/October of this year is going to be a much different thing than it was a few months ago.
