Deadlines
I haven't been doing too much work on my deadlines, but I'm not behind yet. The main this I have left are
- planning the Bart short
- logline for horror screenplay
- ideas for side hustles
I haven't heard back from my old coworker about the paid blog posts but to be honest I'm not 100% sold. For one I know those people can be slow payers and I'm not sure that's something I want to have to deal with for 20 cents a word. I'd be OK with crazy pay schedules like 90 days, but when I worked there they didn't even honor their own pay terms. So people who were told that they'd get paid 30 or 45 days days after their invoice date wouldn't get paid for three or four months.
Granted this isn't money that would be paying any of my major bills, I still don't want to have to waste time chasing a payment. But I think I'll give it a go. I'm not even 100% sure what I would write about the translation industry would be something they are looking for.
I have a tentative logline for the horror screenplay so technically I could consider it done, I just want to work it a bit more to see if I can rephrase it better by my deadline and before I move on to the synopsis and beats.
The BART short needs a lot more work planning wise. I'm trying a modified version of the snowflake method for it, so we'll see how it useful it is.
