What's Mesha been doing this weekend?

I got  a bit too cocky about doing so well on my deadlines for the 25th that I didn't do anything the past few days.

It didn't help that I spent this weekend watching Iron Fist, drinking with some friends at a happy hour at Lungomare and following that up with a drunk watch of The Belko Experiment. Oh yeah an there was plenty of e-window shopping for a new laptop.

First things first, Iron Fist.

I couldn't quite make my mind up about this one. Finn Jones seems a bit lackluster and I can't tell if that's from the writing or done on purpose. I loved Colleen's character and hope we get a Daughter of the Dragon spin-off with Misty Knight. At a certain point, I decided to make Colleen my Iron Fist and recast Danny as her pretty but boring love interest/side kick. 

The music was lit!  I'm really loving this "Wu-Tangification" of the Marvel Universe. This sound track was good but they didn't anywhere near as much with it as Luke Cage and I think some songs for IF were misplaced. Like this banger from Anderson .Paak

Awesome song, just made no sense where it was placed in the episode, which makes it almost seem like an after thought.

Second, Lungomare.

The mushroom pizza is delicious and so are the drinks. Also, day drinking is very nice, especially with friends on a nice sunny day. Let's not talk about how many Dark &Stormys and Rum Punches I had.

Next, Belko Experiment. I can't believe so many people would be willing to work somewhere that places a tracer in your head. Also, ummmm, I'll never look at a tape dispenser the same.

Finally the laptop. I think I decided on an Asus Zenbook. I definitely want the MacBook Pro with the Touchbar, but egads $2600. I have a friend who works at Apple so I can get a 15% discount through him, but 15% of a lot is still a lot.
