Upcoming diversions

So I mentioned some other financial considerations I have upcoming. Besides the new laptop (boring I know) I have some other things coming up.

In May/June I'll be spending 10 days in Reykjavik and Amsterdam!

I'm so excited about this and looking forward to that since it's going to be my first time visiting both places and I've wanted to visit Iceland since I was a kid.  A friend is joining me for most of both places so I'll be able to split most of the hotel costs, but I hear Reykjavik is expensive. Luckily our room has a mini fridge.

Plans include Blue Lagoon, scuba diving between the continental plates and hopefully a lot of flirting with tall Vikings.

Then, just when I was like nope no more trips until New Year's when I'm going to Australia with a bunch of friends. Then last Sunday I get wind of a there was a deal for South Africa and I was like

It's a round trip ticket for $420  for Thanksgiving week and two other friends got in on the deal. We'll be spending part of the time in Jozie and the other part in Cape Town. I've never been to either so I'm super excited for this !!

The good news for my wallet is given the cost of everything and the fact that I'll be splitting it in three, it's looking like out hotels costs are going to around $250- $350 total, which is OK in my book.

I'm also supposed to go to Colombia (Casa en el agua) in August but that might not happen. If I need to choose, then I'd definitely rather save for Australia for New Year's Eve. Just oping I can catch a glitch fare for that. I'd love a $400 or less round trip to Sydney! C'mom universe, make it happen.
